Our Story

In 2003, REED Academy, a non-profit school for children with autism, opened its program in a small basement.

From our inception, our goal has always been to provide highly individualized, scientifically-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) intervention for children aged 3 through 21 in the most innovative way possible.

Since 2003, we have blossomed from a small school with a few children to a 25,300 square foot state-of-the-art permanent building in Oakland, New Jersey serving approximately 40 children from towns throughout Bergen, Passaic, Hudson, Sussex and Essex counties.  And since REED opened its doors, more than a dozen children have graduated and returned to their local public schools.
